THE CHALLENGE

MARLEIGH'S AUTOIMMUNE ENCEPHALITIS JOURNEY

  1. At the age of 3 Marleigh started having seizures
  2. Her seizures were resistant to medication
  3. Marleigh was diagnosed with Autoimmune Encephalitis which is a life threatening disease with no cure
  4. The treatment that works for Marleigh is Intravenous Immunoglobulin Infusions (IVIG) made from human plasma donations
  5. Marleigh is currently in remission but will be dependant on Australian blood donors her whole life as IVIG is life saving when she relapses and life preserving every infusion in between.
  6. Marleigh lives her best life flanked by Seizure Alert Service Dog, Paddy!
